Position Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Job Class: Full-Time/Exempt
Reports To: Controller, Finance & Accounting Department
Position Summary:
The accounts payable clerk will serve as a financial specialist to ensure all bills are recorded in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. This position will provide administrative and clerical support by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, monitoring expenses, and keeping a record of all transactions. The accounts payable clerk will play an integral role in helping the company meet profitability goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works collaboratively with the accounting and finance team.
- Code and enter invoices prior to payment.
- Perform invoice and general ledger data entry.
- Accurately match vendor payments with vouchers.
- File all invoices electronically on the appropriate drive.
- Utility vendor management.
- Monthly review of vendor statements.
Minimum Requirements and Competencies:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Three to five years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate or cost accounting.
- Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be organized with superb time management skills and detailed orientation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of Company’s and partner information.
- Proficient with MS Office software, a strong knowledge of property management software such as RealPage/OneSite or Yardi Voyager is preferred.
