The public mural art initiative at The Legacy at Eastlake is now officially underway! Columbia Residential is proud to announce an open Call for Artists for a site-specific mural that will honor Eastlake’s rich legacy, spirit, resilience, and its vibrant senior community.

The mural will be a prominent visual centerpiece, installed on the north-facing wall of the newly renovated eight-story Legacy building. As part of a broader redevelopment effort, the mural will celebrate the neighborhood’s unique history, identity, and future.

We invite qualified muralists to apply for this opportunity to create a lasting public art installation that reflects Eastlake’s story and values. The selected work will be unveiled during the building’s grand opening in Fall 2025.

  • Submission Deadline: June 18, 2025, by 5:00 PM
  • Project Theme: Artists are encouraged to explore and visually interpret the themes of Family, Hope, Identity, and Community Unity, inspired by a story quilt created by Eastlake residents. Designs should thoughtfully incorporate the building’s original 1971 red brick façade and serve as a powerful expression of community storytelling.
