Heritage at Columbia Parc Senior Residences

ALL MEMBERS OF THE HOUSEHOLD MUST BE 62 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.

Heritage at Columbia Parc Senior Residences, located at 1401 Caton Street, New Orleans, Louisiana 70122, will be opening the waiting list for its low-income family public housing program at 9:00 a.m. (CT) on April 29, 2025, through June 30, 2025. Applications may ONLY be submitted by visiting www.columbiares.com/waitlist.

    1 and 2-bedroom apartment homes

Pre-application Period:

  • OPEN: 9:00 a.m. Central Time (CT), Tuesday, April 29, 2025
    Pre-applications may ONLY be submitted by visiting www.columbiares.com/waitlist.
  • CLOSE: 11:59 p.m. Central Time (CT), Monday, June 30, 2025
    Or as the waitlist reaches 1,500 applicants, whichever comes first
    Only 1,500 applications will be accepted at the property listed. When 1,500 applications are accepted in the system, the waiting list will close.

Waitlist Selection Priority:

All pre-applications will be prioritized according to the following:

    1. First, to former residents who were Head of Household living at the former St. Bernard apartment community on August 29, 2005.
    2. Second, to residents of other HANO-owned public housing communities who are required to relocate due to a scheduled demolition.
    3. Third, to all other applicants.

Eligible applicants will be placed on the site-based waiting list and will be ranked by randomized selection. The list will be sorted by preference and then by bedroom size.

Annual Household Income cannot exceed the following amounts based on the number of persons in the household:

It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to provide the appropriate priority category for their household. The community will not verify the applicant’s claim for a particular priority prior to final application for occupancy. If an applicant chooses to change his/her preference claim, the applicant will be transferred to the appropriate category and placed at the bottom of that category. If it is determined by Columbia Residential that the applicant does not qualify for the priority category in which he/she indicated on the application, the applicant will be transferred to the appropriate category and placed at the bottom of the list for that category. Applicants who have committed fraud or have misrepresented their qualifications for a priority will be removed from the waiting list.

Please note that an applicant desiring to lease an assisted apartment must comply with all applicable eligibility criteria, including, but not limited to, the criteria set forth in the pre-application. All information provided by the applicant will be verified from all applicable sources, including, but not limited to, employers, providers, and federal, state, and local government agencies. Applicants who have misrepresented any information during the application process may be removed from the site-based waiting list or, if housed, subject to lease termination. In addition, applicants who have previously participated in any assisted housing program and were terminated for cause may not be eligible. Applicants who are determined ineligible will be offered the opportunity to participate in an informal meeting with management to dispute the ineligibility decision.

The Legacy at East Lake

The Legacy at East Lake, located at 380 Eva Davis Way Southeast, Atlanta, Georgia, is accepting pre-applications for units receiving rental assistance in several of its 0–1-bedroom apartments. Eligible residents will pay no more than 30% of their adjusted monthly income for rent and utilities, subject to applicable requirements.

The Legacy at East Lake is also accepting pre-applications for fully accessible units designed for residents with mobility-related disabilities or who may use a wheelchair or scooter. The UFAS waitlist is exclusive to people with mobility-related disabilities and will remain open throughout the year.

Priority Categories:

Both the standard site-based waitlist and UFAS waitlist-eligible applicants will be ranked on the site-based waiting list according to the recorded date and time their fully completed pre-application forms were received and accepted by management. Applicants who request a fully accessible unit will also be placed on both waiting lists.

In accordance with Atlanta Housing Special Admissions Policy, Atlanta Housing may initiate relocation transfers outside of a community from time to time to facilitate Atlanta Housing’s property repositioning strategy, which includes, but is not limited to, special initiatives such as the Rental Assistance Demonstration, sale of property, revitalization activities, and/or development opportunities related to AH-Owned and AH-Sponsored Communities, or for other valid reasons as determined and approved by Atlanta Housing. In an effort to assist with relocation of residents at Columbia Senior Residences at MLK Village, during that site’s renovation residents from Columbia MLK Senior will be given priority on this waitlist.
