In the News: Carmen Chubb Guests on Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio

Recently, Columbia Residential President, Carmen Chubb, was featured on the Atlanta Real Estate Forum Radio podcast to discuss Columbia Residential’s 2023 accomplishments and 2024 initiatives. During the interview, Carmen highlighted the extensive $40M renovation of James Allen Jr. Place, a mixed-income community providing homes for 129 seniors. She also talked about the new partnership between Columbia Residential and Matter Health to provide primary and preventative healthcare services for seniors in the communities where they live. In 2023, onsite clinics were opened at Heritage Senior and James Allen Jr. Place and there are plans to open clinics at additional communities in 2024.

Carmen also discussed how Columbia Residential persevered to deliver new communities despite post-pandemic challenges, including rising construction costs and labor shortages. In addition, she talked about how the resident services team supports the Atlanta community through its annual Back to School Bash and the Adopt A Family program during the holidays.

Throughout the interview, Carmen emphasized that Columbia Residential is focused on helping to accomplish Mayor Dickens’ goal of delivering 20,000 new or preserved affordable housing units over the next two years. In 2024, Columbia Residential will work toward this ambitious goal by delivering new phases for current communities and beginning renovations to existing communities in its portfolio.
